New Autism Video Series with Kaden

Kaden has talked to me several times about wanting to help other understand Autism.  He said that it only takes 1 Kid to reach 1,000's of People and that he wanted to be that 1 Kid.  So, here he is in all his Glory.  The first video is really just a introduction to the camera for him.  But, the second one gets more into how his Autism makes him feel.  Hope everyone follows us on this Video Journey, he has a lot of Great Future Video Ideas!!!

Is This Your Favorite?

Here is a video of my Sweetheart, Kaden!!!!!!  This was taken back in September before he was introduced to Risk and Agricola.  I'm sure one of those would be his fav board game now!!!  And I didn't ask which computer game was his fav, I'm sure we could all agree it would be Star Craft.
Kaden does not have a lot of Favorite things and has trouble selecting one.  This goes for a shirt, show, food or even toy.  So, I was very pleased at his progress over the past 6 months or so.

Sensory Therapy Disguised as Fun

A new craft project we did the other day!! I have a basket on a lower shelf that Kaden has access to whenever he wants.  It has quick projects, workbooks, small puzzles, tiny models he can build and trinkets from the dollar store.  Well, the other day it was a Bendaroo Day!!!!

3D Mazes for Everyone!!!!

Kaden got this cool 3D maze book yesterday.  He was not too excited about the glasses part, but I talked him into using them.  He kept saying that he could do the mazes just fine without the glasses.  Forget about fun, he was ready to get down to business.  HAHAHAHA
He finished the whole book in about 20 minutes.  There went my $10!!!!  But, it was that or a sticker book that I knew he would have no interest in after 5 minutes.

No Tomatoes of Any Kind

Kaden is picky when it comes to eating.  And very messy I might add!!!  HAHAHAHA
But, the other day I decided to try pot pies, he loved them.  Now I just need to learn to make them homemade instead of giving him just frozen ones.  Ok, who am I trying to fool, frozen will due, especialy in my crazzzzzzy life right now.  But, If anyone has a good recipe they can pass my way Kaden would sure Love ya for it!!!!!

Aspergers in the Saddle

Today we are going horse back riding for the 2nd time.  Kaden loves it!!!  Here he is riding for the 1st time.  Normally he has so much anxiety around other people.  And in the begging he was scared hidden behind me.  But, there is something about animals that soothes him.  He seems to focus more and is more willing to take direction or try something new.  Maybe I should keep a horse i the house.  HAHAHAHA

All Chalked up

Every Day his poor desk gets either painted, chalked, drawn on or covered in tape.  HAHAHA
